The Beidel Design Associates company tag puts our corporate philosophy in very simple terms – “Purely Green…….Design Solutions for the Game, the Environment and the Bottom Line.” Ed's landscape architectural perspective allows for a distinctive course or landscape design, which blends into the natural environs. Existing site features strongly influence the initial routing, appearance and character of the golf course or site, which is then refined to meet the client's objectives and the abilities / needs of the intended users. Ed’s golf philosophy is that holes should be much more than photogenic. They should be playable, easily maintained, practical and diverse. The finished product is an aesthetic and challenging, but fair and enjoyable layout.

BDA believes in maintaining personal, yet professional, relationships with all parties involved in the project’s development. A successful project requires design personnel at project inception and strong communication within the project design team. Client participation throughout design development is considered essential. Because of this commitment, BDA has successfully collaborated with many design professionals such as engineers, landscape architects, architects, agronomists, irrigation consultants, environmental specialists and surveyors to achieve the highest Client satisfaction.

The ability of our design staff to extend artistic and technical design talents to the spaces beyond the golf courses fully strengthens, solidifies and links the design development process. Ed has personally been the lead or solo designer on more than 200 golf/planning projects in a career that is both national and international in scope.
